I recently made an accidental portrait of this giant, cuddly, puffball of love. World, meet Tundra! I spooned Tundra on my visit and and it took a team of 7 highly trained search and rescue experts three days to find me.

I didn’t know Kathleen and Katie Mae the day I talked to them as they were walking through my studio parking lot, but apparently they didn’t think I was a serial killer because they said YES to coming into my studio to shoot a portrait.

As I was getting ready to post this, I realized Matt Solomon would PIN it to make fun of me. So I decided to call this image, “Matt’s Peony.” Probably hits too close to home, I realize this and I’m not sorry.

Grandpa would start to tell one of his LONG stories (ha, wonder where I get it from?) and Grandma would bark at him, “Oh, Frank, no one wants to hear that story!”
Then he would tell the long story which often ended with something that was funny to him, but I didn’t get at all…usually because I didn’t really know Dale’s brother’s cousin, Ed who tipped the tractor over in ‘47 or whatever. He would have this great big smile on his face, adjust his toothpick, and then start another story.
